Cast Iron Cauldron

from $19.95

Cauldrons symbolize the hearth and sustenance as well as change. They have a long history — think Macbeth’s “double, double toil and trouble.” The alchemical transformation occurs as a result of combining ingredients physically and spiritually during a ritual.

They are useful as heat-safe bowls for burning resin incense or herbs on charcoal, or as symbolic pieces on altars and in the home. The lid can be applied to lessen smoke or to end a ritual. We suggest filling it with sand so you can safely put out cone or stick incense. We usually use it this way. Recommended extras: tongs for charcoal and sand as a base (sold separately).
